Today I'm going to go off course and do something different.

I met a Lady in a chat room, and she told me she writes poetry, and sent me the following. I was very moved and impressed with it.

I then asked her for permission to post it here on Townhall, she consented, so here it is.

I ask and encourage that you leave comments about the poem, so she may read what you think.

Heroes Lie Sleeping
This brave young man so far away
Strong of eye and heart in sweet repose
Lying in Gods earth so calm and still
Forgotten not, but no one knows.

When facing fire his aim so true
Defended freedom as well he might

With the battle going on in Fallujah, Iraq, again I thought of those young
people fighting in far away places in wars which should not be taking
place.  What a waste of beautiful young people whose potential was never
realized.

Turn on any main stream media network, and you will see pure hatred. Is this hatred aimed at our sworn enemies, those bent of destroying our ways of life, traitors present and past, mass murderers, child molesters, pedophiles, killers, rapists, the dregs of society?

No, it isn’t aimed at any of the above targets, it’s aimed at one very dangerous person, who threatens the daily life of all Americans, if the networks are to be believed, it is a person who goes by the name of Mrs. Sarah Palin.

Her crime? She has accepted the nomination to become the Vice President of The United States of America. On the Republican side of the aisle, apparently this action is an offense that calls for hanging by the neck until dead.

All three of the networks take delight in trying to embarrass this woman, by trying to prove she knows nothing about anything. If their reports are to be believed, Mrs. Palin somehow stumbled her way in to the Mayor’s office and position.  She then somehow stumbled her way from the Mayor level to the Governor’s office of the state of Alaska. For a hockey mom, she stumbles around pretty good. But according to the late night comics, she has the IQ of Daffy Duck, and talks like him.

The ABC network seems to have started it all with their first exclusive with her by Charles Gibson, in this interview, Charles seems to have seated himself quite high and Mrs. Palin quite low, so he could look down his nose at her over his glasses perched at almost the tip of his nose when she answered a question not to his satisfaction, he played his role of class bully to a tee.

Next we have CBS, they assigned that interview genius Katie Couric to attack Mrs. Palin. She then proceeded to try her version of “gotcha”. Interview journalism, but seems to have backfired, from what I saw of the attempted network drive-by shooting was Mrs. Palin learned her lesson well from the Gibson mess and answered the questions in a clear, concise manner, leaving no room for speculation that she is either dumb, stupid or incompetent. (Just a side note to take notice of when they make fun of Mrs. Palin’s voice: CNN president, Reese Schoenfeld, banned Couric from the air after hearing her high-pitched, squeaky voice)

Last of the networks, we come to NBC, this leftist network seems to have pulled out all of the stops to embarrass and humiliate Mrs. Palin. Out of all three networks, NBC is the most overt in supporting Obama for president, the other two at least try to make an effort to come off as balanced, with very little success, their staffs may as well wear Obama cheerleading uniforms, so there is no mistaking where they stand.
The formerly funny (30 or so years ago) show, Saturday Night Live has become the role model of attack against Mrs Palin and her family. With the amount of low class propaganda this show puts out, they could have  given lessons to the KGB and Joseph Goebbels. (For any libs that may be reading this, Goebbels was Hitler’s Chief of Propaganda, Iran’s president would have loved him)
SNL as this horrendous show is also known as, has aired skits inferring Mrs. Palin’s husband has had incestuous relations with their daughters. From what information I could get, most of these skits were co written by has-ben comic, now senatorial candidate Al Franken, late of Air America, the liberal’s attempt to break into talk radio, I think they are still broadcasting, but you may have to purchase a CB radio to hear them. SNL has chosen Tina Feye to portray Mrs. Palin, and she plays the role using a high screeched voice. Funny? Not in my opinion. (Here is a quote from Feye: “On the idea of future Sarah Palin SNL skits: "I want to be done playing this lady Nov. 5. So, if anybody can help me be done playing this lady Nov. 5, that would be good for me.") fairness at it’s best.

Next comes the NOW gang. The National Organization for Women. Now as a male, I thought that this group would leap to the defense of Mrs. Palin, decrying anti feminist actions, citing the achievements of Mrs. Palin, striking out at those who make fun and belittle the chances of Mrs. Palin becoming Vice President of the United States.

Here are a few cites from the NOW 1966 Statement of Purpose:

“The purpose of NOW is to take action to bring women into full participation in the mainstream of American society now, exercising all the privileges and responsibilities thereof in truly equal partnership with men.”

“NOW is dedicated to the proposition that women, first and foremost, are human beings, who, like all other people in our society, must have the chance to develop their fullest human potential. We believe that women can achieve such equality only by accepting to the full the challenges and responsibilities they share with all other people in our society, as part of the decision-making mainstream of American political, economic and social life.”

“We realize that women's problems are linked to many broader questions of social justice; their solution will require concerted action by many groups. Therefore, convinced that human rights for all are indivisible, we expect to give active support to the common cause of equal rights for all those who suffer discrimination and deprivation, and we call upon other organizations committed to such goals to support our efforts toward equality for women.”

“WE DO NOT ACCEPT the token appointment of a few women to high-level positions in government and industry as a substitute for serious continuing effort to recruit and advance women according to their individual abilities. To this end, we urge American government and industry to mobilize the same resources of ingenuity and command with which they have solved problems of far greater difficulty than those now impeding the progress of women.”

“WE BELIEVE that women must now exercise their political rights and responsibilities as American citizens. They must refuse to be segregated on the basis of sex into separate-and-not-equal ladies' auxiliaries in the political parties, and they must demand representation according to their numbers in the regularly constituted party committees -- at local, state, and national levels -- and in the informal power structure, participating fully in the selection of candidates and political decision-making, and running for office themselves.”

“WE BELIEVE THAT women will do most to create a new image of women by acting now, and by speaking out in behalf of their own equality, freedom, and human dignity - - not in pleas for special privilege, nor in enmity toward men, who are also victims of the current, half-equality between the sexes - - but in an active, self-respecting partnership with men. By so doing, women will develop confidence in their own ability to determine actively, in partnership with men, the conditions of their life, their choices, their future and their society. “

After reading the preceding statements, I expected a firestorm of support for Mrs. Palin from NOW, but they are strangely silent about all of the ridicule and  baseless attacks on the woman.
I did a little reading, and it seems that because Mrs. Palin is not a democrat, but rather, a republican conservative who happens to like to hunt and fish. I suppose these conditions exempt her from the protective arms of the NOW.

The hatred that goes on in this campaign is not to be believed, if any of the insinuations made against Mrs. Palin were made against Obama, the riots that would take place would make the riots of the 1960s in Watts, Ca and Newark, NJ  look like picnics.

Let’s get down to what is more important, who is better equipped to take the reins of this government in these troubled times.

Today I am very angry, pi$$ed off, if you may.

The reason for my anger?

No it’s not Barak Obama’s non plans to make America some kind of utopia and claiming he’s not going to raise taxes, this I expect from politicians.

No, it’s not Joe Biden’s love affair with stealing speeches and touting them as his own. This I also expect from politicians.

No, it’s not the NY Times love affair with the left sided Democratic political party, even if they show unabashed bias against anything from the right side of the aisle.

No, it not even because of the fact that we don’t have Osama Bin Laden in custody or dead yet.

The reason for my anger is NBC news. On 1 Sept, 2008 I turned on the local NBC affiliate in NYC to see what the local news and weather was. What got my attention was the fact that these bottom feeding, low life, scum sucking b@stards did was lead off their newscast with a non news story about Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin’s daughter being pregnant, this grand revelation is none of my business or anyone else, except the families involved. 

The children and families of candidates were always off limits, they did it for the Clintons, but not the Bush family!

This young lady’s condition is a private issue, and has nothing to do with the question of her mother’s ability to serve as Vice President of the United State of America!

I read on 1 September, 2008 that the left wingnut bloggers were having a field day, spreading rumors that this young woman was actually the mother of Mrs Palin and her husband’s son who was born with downs syndrome, and Mrs Palin took the child and is raising him as her own, to protect her daughter’s reputation, these rumors are based on a photograph taken and published in 2006, where it shows daughter Bristol with what appears to be some left over baby fat; she was about 15 or so years of age. The left wingnut bloggers on the daily cos web site are out of control for anything from the right side. If you don’t kowtow to their demented wishes and extreme positions, they tear you apart, with the obvious blessing of web site owner Markos Moulitsas Zúñiga, born in .Chicago in 1971, and now resides in Berkeley, California, big surprise there, huh?

They don’t have anything else to attack Mrs Palin about, she has more experience in leadership roles than all three other candidate’s combined, as she knows about oil and the drilling of it, she’s very familiar with the environmental issues involved in drilling for oil.

This lady may just be the answer to get this nation weaned off of foreign oil and start using our own. Along with her knowledge, and implementing wind power over fat Teddy’s objections, and add in solar power, and we may see a light at the end of the tunnel.

None of this has anything to do with her daughter’s private life, we are voting for a person based on their abilities, not how their children conduct their PRIVATE lives.

I found out this morning that CBS and ABC broadcasting corporations also led off their news programs with news of  Mrs Palin’s daughter.

I am going to view all three stations over the next few days and compile a list of advertisers on their news programs, and start a grassroots boycott of their sponsors, starting with emailing the president of each corporation, contacting the stations to complain is useless, like trying to bail out the storm waters with Sean Penn’s little red cup, they do what they want, and we’re left with the results of their inane decisions.

I will publish the list of sponsors in a few days if you wish.

Let the voter decide who they are going to vote for based on their merits and experience, not their families.

As the slick haired character with the DA hair style wearing his hood like black leather motorcycle jacket said to the gang ready to beat up a kid in the movie, “The Wanderers”:

On the Thursday morning of June 26, 2008, there was heard a very tortured scream of agony  throughout the United States of America. This scream started in low tones and then gathered strength as all of the originating sources came together to form this horrible sound. Some started early, some a little later, but no more than one half hour separated the onset of the screams.

No, none of the gates of Hades opened and it wasn’t the poor unblessed tortured soul’s screams of mercy we heard.

It was the ACLU and it’s other sister organizations screams of agony we heard. You see, the United States Supreme court made public their ruling of the Second Amendment case they opted to hear. Now, the ACLU and friends thought they had a slam dunk with this case, after all, they’ve had Justice Ginsberg rooting for them for years, this case was basically a no brainer, as they tend to be when they are called to be heard.

If in case you don’t already know, the court had the audacity to uphold a citizen’s right to bear arms under the second amendment, this situation could not be worse for the ACLU and the leftist organizations of this nation, the various states where it is next to impossible to obtain a permit doesn’t have their old stand-by arguments of a well armed regulated militia to deny gun ownership permits to law abiding citizens by the bushel basket full.
No sooner was the ink dry on the decision when Speaker of the House, Bela Pelosi stated that DC can still regulate gun ownership. I just wonder what court she and her crowd plan on taking future cases such as these. The International court in The Hague? She may try, but until I see the signed document ceding our laws to that court, I guess one could say they are stuck up that famous creek without a paddle. 

Now, with this case out of the way, I suppose the ACLU will have to search out pedophiles on their own to defend, after all, a child molester takes precedence over all other citizen’s rights, unless, of course it involves prayer on or near a public building or property. This my friends is the most vile display of rights violations I have ever heard of.

I think I will donate $10.00 American (sorry, I don’t deal with Euros) to the ACLU, and then apply for a gun permit, if turned down, I wonder if I could compel them to defend my rights under the second amendment, That should be some show, the most famous leftist organization having to defend a right of the aisle position. I think a snowball in hades would stand a better chance at survival than them defending me and my permit.

Just think of the ramifications this decision will have in all states and most burgs, towns, villages and cities. When the bad guys think about pulling their unregistered hand gun out to possibly rape, rob and murder a person, they may have a rational thought of fire being returned, from someone who has been trained in the safety and use of firearms by the police. I’m not implying that this decision will replace the police departments around the nation, but we/they could surely assist them in apprehending criminals of all variations. I don’t foresee roving bands or posses trying to track these lowlifes down, but if we are going to be armed, why not take it one step further and train the citizenry in the process of looking at a person and get as close to total recall as possible, or as many physical details as possible, so they may work with a police artist or technician to possibly help get a description on the police radio air bands as soon as possible. It  would help if the police provided training in how to preserve a crime scene until the police arrive. All of these actions could be well documented for further use in court at a later date.

I’m sure most people in this nation are as fed up with the high crime rate as it is frustrating to  most police officers.

I feel we are at a crossroads in the history of this nation. Thanks to this decision, we are finally going to be able to defend ourselves from the low lifers who prey on the weak, lame and disabled, because they are such easy targets. Now the targets have taken on new shapes, and this is definitely more pleasing to those afflicted everyday. The police cannot be everywhere at all times. This decision at least evens the playing field some.

It could have ramifications on our borders also, the illegals; when they cross into our country are met by armed law abiding citizens and told to go back to the hole in the border where they had come from, that action should at first come as a surprise, but after a short time period, it should become an expected confrontation. With our citizens armed, they may be able to convince the armed human smugglers that they picked the wrong place to guide their victims into our nation.

All in all it was a good and fair decision, unlike last weeks where they gave constitutional rights to detainees at Gitmo. Let’s just hope the second amendment rights doesn’t extend to them.








 

By today’s ruling, the Supreme Court has confirmed suspicions I’ve held for a long time. They have collectively lost their minds.
They ruled today that enemy combatants captured on the battlefields fighting and killing US troops and detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba have constitutional rights under our legal system. They have cited, among other things that the government is violating the rights of prisoners being held indefinitely and without charges at the U.S. naval base in Cuba. The court's liberal justices were in the majority.
Did it slip the minds of the supreme court that this nation is at war?
Approximately 270 men (or poor excuses for men) remain at the island prison, classified as enemy combatants and held on suspicion of terrorism or links to al-Qaida and the Taliban.

The prison at Guantanamo Bay has been relentlessly criticized by such groups as Amnesty International, whose ideals seem to release every prisoner, regardless of the crimes he has committed and convicted for, or if not released, receive gourmet meals, unlimited visitations rights, and of course the good old stand-bys, free medical care, unlimited health spa membership and color wide screen cable Tvs.Bianca Jagger, I hope you’re finally happy, you now have a new career besides being married to the oldest rock star in history, Mick.. You now get to oversee the treatment of those at Gitmo first hand, I hope you enjoy the greeting you get being a female from those well known defenders of women’s rights, al-Qaida and the Taliban.
You’re much to skinny to strap a bomb to, the fuse probably outweighs you by at least 20 pounds. Maybe they could behead you after you and your group win their release from where they belong.....ah, good luck with that venture.

Now back to the supreme court, these nine supposed most brilliant justices in the nation, who only work nine months out of the year, and are appointed for life, seem to be working hard to undermine the safety and security of this nation..
Did they forget September 11, 2001? The endless TV footage of the jet airliner ram into the tower? The footage from the ground where the debris of paper, and other assorted refuse lining the streets, making it look like a snowfall in September?
The TV footage of crushed fire trucks, ambulances, and police vehicles, looking like a toy collection of a child after he had anger outbursts?
How could these supposed US protectors of the United States and the US Constitution forget those images?
 What about the USS Cole, where we were treated to the gaping hole made by a Taliban bomb?
We had US armed forces maimed and killed in that little incident.

The court said not only that the detainees have rights under the Constitution, but that the system the administration has put into place to classify them as enemy combatants and review those decisions is inadequate. My thoughts run, What more proof do you need to classify someone as a enemy than capturing them on a battlefield armed with automatic weapons used solely to kill as many American troops as possible?
I supposed the bombs and other weapons of war aren’t enough to meet the high standards of the high court, that they seem to have set for themselves.

This is a pure partisan decision, nothing more. The liberal democrats were probably chomping at the bit to vote for this disaster.

Stephen Breyer, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, David Souter and John Paul Stevens joined Anthony Kennedy, to form the majority to do irrevocable harm to the United States and her allies.

The only thing I can see coming from this asinine decision, is violence, and I mean bloody violence.

I shudder that the thought of these nine clowns, and the condition of the world if they sat in on the Nuremberg trials, if there were presiding, Hess, Goring, Jodl and all the others would walk out free men. After all, they’d be entitled to American Constitutional rights.

I guess it’s keg night party time at the Pelosi and Reid’s homes.

Some seem to believe that we should negotiate with the terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along. We have heard this foolish delusion before. As Nazi tanks crossed into Poland in 1939, an American senator declared: “Lord, if I could only have talked to Hitler, all this might have been avoided."

The above was part of a speech President Bush made in Israel, and it now has the Democrats in an uproar, they are claiming that the statement was aimed at presidential hopeful Obama, nowhere did I hear President Bush refer too Obama. Maybe, just maybe this statement is too close to Obama’s position on terror. Obama has stated in the past that he would welcome sitting down with the lunatic fringe that now rules Iran. This in my opinion is appeasement. One of Obama’s spokespersons said it was outrageous for a president or other official to go to a foreign soil, and say something like this. But, I fail to remember the screams of terror, shame and outrage when a few American senators did exactly the same thing, but they were not speaking of Israel, they were speaking of the lack of intelligence and incompetence of the sitting president of the United States.

Senator Biden said the statement was pure Bullsh*t. How is it that Biden knows this?
Was it his idea and Obama stole it from him? How’s it feel Joe? Someone stole a idea you may have conjured up in your mind, after all you seem comfortable with plagiarism, which happens to mean stealing speeches and other things other people write and you claim as your own. Joe, you seem to have a great penchant for this type of activity. When I see you on the Senate floor blustering one of your speeches, I now tend to look for the puppet master lines that make your mouth operate.

Now, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi made the following statement, which shocked me like a live wire.
She said: that Bush's remarks were "beneath the dignity of the office of the president and unworthy of our representation" This is something I thought I’d never live to see and hear, a Democrat using the words dignity and office of the president in the same sentence. We sure didn’t hear it when slick Willie was caught with his pants down, giving ‘special’ instructions to an intern. As a matter of fact, if memory serves correct, Pelosi and her fellow states persons actually defended his action, not to mention his failure to honor the oath to the grand jury to tell the truth.
Jimmy Carter didn’t show dignity when he held the office of the president, as a matter of fact, I doubt Carter knows the meaning of the word.

As Pelosi was speaking, House Democratic Caucus Chairman Rahm Emanuel issued a statement in which he said: "The tradition has always been that when a U.S. president is overseas, partisan politics stops at the water's edge. President Bush has now taken that principle and turned it on its head: for this White House, partisan politics now begins at the water’s edge, no matter the seriousness and gravity of the occasion. Does the president have no shame?” I wonder if this theory also applies to former presidents? If so I think the DNC should spend a few bucks to send telegrams to Carter and Clinton, as they have been known to go onto foreign soil and denigrate the sitting president.

What I’m really waiting for is Ted Kennedy’s remarks about this statement. After all, he knows all about appeasement, his father tried to get British PM Chamberlain to acquiescence to Hitler’s demands to rule all of europe with his demented mind set. I eagerly await Kennedy’s condemnation of President Bush’s speech. It should be quite interesting to see how he does this, while trying to distance himself from his father’s position. Maybe if his staff can sober him up enough to speak in whole sentences we’ll find out, but I’m not taking any bets of his staff’s ability to accomplish this amazing feat.

All President Bush did was say the obvious, and quote a former senator, William Edgar Borah (June 29, 1865 near Fairfield, Illinois – January 19, 1940 Washington, D.C.), a Republican, BTW. Seems partisan to me, huh?

On Tuesday 15 April, 2008, Senator and presidential hopeful John McCain proposed something I thought I would never see or hear pass the lips of a politician. He proposed that the federal government suspend taxes on gasoline from Memorial day to Labor day, I’m assuming he is including diesel fuel in that statement as well.

I happen to think this is a good idea and would most likely pull this nation out of the recession it is in now, heading fast for a depression, ala 1929.

It would give the trucking industry a breather from high fuel costs, this in turn would result in lower prices at the grocery stores and supermarkets. Thus freeing up some money for the consumer to spend elsewhere. Sure, it’s the basic trickle down theory, that former President Reagan used to lower taxes, and was reviled for it. But I believe it will help us recover from the disaster we are facing now.
The lower gas prices will also encourage families to take vacations that they had cancelled due to the high gas cost. This reaction will also help create jobs in the tourism industry, we will most likely spend our vacation in the United States, as we seem to be hated by the rest of the world, this is fine with me, I’d rather see American dollars spent in our own nation rather than in Europe, where the base of US hatred seems to sit. Granted, tourism usually only lasts 3 or so months in this county, but that little boost just my pull us back from the edge of disaster.

Now detractors of McCain’s idea will scream that we can’t afford the lost tax revenue from such a vile act of giving Americans a slight break. And they just may be correct, but politicians have no problems telling Joe or Jane Average to tighten up their belts and carry on, well, let’s see how Congress likes being told the same thing from those of us who pay their salaries.
During this short tax relief, we could tell them to sell the limos and SUVs that we pay for, plus the upkeep, and of course fuel. Let them travel in working stiff’s type of transportation, Ford Focus, Taurus, Chevy’s alike models, and the rest of American made vehicles.
If you want to travel via limo or SUV, I have no problem with that, just don’t ask me to pay for it, in fact all government vehicles could be downgraded to the above cited vehicles, except for police, fire and medical vehicles, they have an actual need for speed at times, and should have it. Other government employees don’t move so fast on the job, so why should we supply them with high horse powered vehicles?

I have read that the US will lose around $10 billion if this abatement is acted on. Well I just happen to have the perfect solution to that problem. Let the law enforcement agencies in this nation do their jobs and start deporting illegal aliens from this land, this action would save us a lot more than a mere $10 billion, this action will also free up a lot of jobs for American citizens and LEGAL foreign workers, thus increasing our tax base and revenues.

At the end of the tax abatement period, it would be interesting to force Congress to justify the reimposition of the tax, and exactly why it is needed.

Now the states will scream bloody murder, as they depend upon that tax for road repair and upkeep, but I have a question about that. Where is the money from the state taxes on gas and fuel going now, and what is it being used for?
Is the federal government helping the states meet their budgets? Is this not the reason for state income, sales, water and property taxes?

McCain has a good idea, but sadly probably it will never see the light of day. Congress is just well overfed and doesn’t want to hear about diets for themselves.

This column is about our past great president, James Carter.
Here is a man that in my opinion was the very worst president of my lifetime.
He bungled his way into the White House, only because President Ford pardoned former President Nixon, and he also did not end the war in Viet Nam.
He had a brother named Billy, who if were alive today, would probably be in prison, Billy Carter, the brother of US Pres. Jimmy Carter, made allegedly anti-Semitic remarks. Billy eventually registered as a foreign agent of the Libyan government and received a $220,000 loan. This led to a Senate hearing over alleged influence peddling which some in the press dubbed "Billygate.", unless he was pardoned by his brother.
Next came the blanket amnesty of any and all draft dodgers and draft evaders who fled to either Sweden of Canada to avoid honorable service to the United States of America, this act endeared Carter to most, if not all veterans and citizens, with the glowing exception of John Kerry and our generation’s very own ‘Tokyo Rose”, jane fonda.

1977 showed ths fine example handing out pardons to draft dodgers and evaders en masse, it was a proud moment for those of us who answer the call and donned the uniform of the United States. It was an amazing feat Carter pulled off that day, he spit on the graves and in the faces of some 58,000 service members and their families in one swift motion of his special presidential pen. It was a grand and glorious day for the chicken livered b*stards who refused to go. I hope this still makes him proud and haunts him for the rest of his life.

November 4th, 1979 brought forth another milestone in this inept president’s term, Iranian ‘students’ took some 76 or so American citizens hostage and held them. I looked on Carter’s website and was amazed to see stated that Carter himself was responsible for the release of above mentioned hostages. I, on the other hand remember the hostages being held for a total of 444 long days, and they not being released until the real deal President, Ronald Wilson Reagan took the oath and assumed office. It amazes me the way these clowns get to rewrite their own histories.

He gutted the US military, brought American morale to one of her lowest points. He was taken in by the lies of North Korea, re their intentions of their nuclear reactors.

He was the person I remember cursing as I sat in odd and even lines to purchase gas at over $1.00 per gallon, He had announced one day that in his opinion, gas would go over a buck a gallon, a few days later, gas was above a buck. It’s almost like he gave permission to raise them.

His other disasters were undoing years of hard work by diplomats to reach agreements with other nations to stabilize the world, but good ole boy Jimmy wouldn’t have any of that, he tossed as many of his brother’s wrenches into the works as he could.

His ineptness didn’t stop when he was finally defeated in one of the biggest landslides in American history.

He became a self appointed diplomat, and traveled the world screwing up deals and pacts hammered out by professionals.

Now that he has screwed up the pending deal with North Korea for them to dissemble their nuclear weapon class reactors, he’s off to the middle east again to meet and confer with the leaders of Hamas, a  known and widely recognized terrorists. He claims that they should be given a chance at the negotiating tables, forget the fact that they want to slay the rest of the world who chose not to embrace islam.

I think it’s high time we put Jimmy in a closet in the attic and lock it and leave it until the noise stops.

I admire your attempt to be the conservative hero, coming out against the air craft passenger bill of rights, but you seem to have come to the conclusion that they and other entities are allowed to trample over us with no chance of recourse on our part. I say ‘our’ just to make this post and the points in it, the last time I flew was 12 Aug 1968.
In my opinion, buying a airline ticket is akin to entering a NYC taxi and telling the driver where you want to go, now, being I live across the river from the city and having driven all sizes of trucks around the city, I know the street/avenue layouts pretty well. They do try to cheat you via the ‘shortcut’ they know, padding the amount on the meter, unless you are savvy enough to call them on it.
If you hired a cab and he sat there and told you he could not take you to your destination, because it was raining too hard, snowing, foggy, his dispatcher wouldn’t allow him to go to that part of the city, what would you do?
Sit in the cab until the weather conditions cleared or the dispatcher changed his mind?
No, most likely you’d exit the cab and find one that would transport to where you wanted to go.
Why are the airlines any different? You could take bets that when the flying waiters and waitresses became thirsty, they had their choice of drinks to fulfill their craving, I imagine the same situation would have applied to restroom use.

I don’t want to see trial lawyers make a dime from my miserable conditions, as I can’t stand most of the b-st-rds.

I, for one can’t see the downside of having a federal law to oversee humane treatment of humans under sometimes extreme conditions. If you ran a animal shelter and did not give water and food to the animals for hours in extreme heat, you can bet you’d be appearing before a judge to answer why.

Why not get congress to get off of their collective @sses and pass a law that would allow humane treatment of people of all ages when you are held prisoner on a air craft. The law should insist a standard contract between passengers and airlines addressing these problems. And, if the airlines fail to keep up their end of the bargain, let the government fine them at extreme rates, so we can at least try to recoup some of the money we have been throwing at them in forms of subsidies.
By the way, due to health conditions, I do need low sodium food, so I can’t see why you would want to put my health in peril just because of a political position.

I just want airlines and other large public serving corporations to give the people what they pay for, or let them go elsewhere to get such services.

Well, it looks like Hollweird star Sean Penn has escaped from the asylum again. It was on the news that he was in Venezuela with it’s president Hugo Chavez, bad mouthing the United States again, this fine role model has a penchant for hating the USA, the bad @ss country that gave this moron his rights to drip at the jaw the way he does. Chavez cheered Penn’s speech condemning the USA, and said “he was looking for a great country, and he found a great county”Chavez praised his bravery in urging Americans to impeach President Bush. Penn applauded portions of Chavez's speech, including his characterization of the invasion of Iraq as genocide. Penn's visit led to condemnation from Venezuelan exiles, who describe Chavez as a totalitarian leader trying to control Venezuelan society. Can’t win em all Ace.
I looked up his biography and no where found him serving in uniform (prison uniforms don’t count)in the defense of this nation, now I don’t insist people have to serve to enjoy the rights this nation affords, but a little respect would be nice and in order.
This is the same Sean Penn that went to New Orleans to ‘rescue’ people, but instead of going out on rescue missions like the brave official rescuers and volunteers did, he took his entourage and personal photographer along in a leaky boat, his shining moment was captured on film, not rescuing a child, but Sean trying to bail water out of his leaky boat with a red plastic cup.
Penn also went to Iraq as a independent journalist to report on the war of oppression that the USA was waging against the poor, innocent Saddam Hussein and his idiot sons, who ran their rape rooms and torture rooms efficiently, well he’s a bit like Mussolini, El Duce made the trains run on time. I can just see it; ;Jeff Spicoli, ace reporter for the Daily Planet getting the true story according to Saddam and Co. I wonder if he took Jimmy Olsen along to capture his every movement as he interviewed the victims of the rape and torture rooms? Maybe Fat Teddy Kennedy told him to lay off the rape rooms, as he may be planning to visit Iraq soon, and needed a diversion from his condemning America.

I noticed all of the politicians who clamored to get on the Imus in the morning show, deserted him lie rats on a sinking ship.                            
I am eagerly awaiting for comments from Bill and Hillary, Bill; will be able to determine if they were really ho’s, as he’s had a lifetime of experience with them, being married to the pantsuit queen of America, Hillary Rodman or whatever name she’s going under this week.
I can jusst picture Hillary going to Rutgers and claiming she played basketball for their team, in a Joisey accent of course.
Imus was funny at times, but those times are long gone., it was in the 70's and 80's when he was amusing. Now he sees himself as a king maker, political genius and all around expert on everything.
Now he is an over aged disc jockey who was lucky and made it to the big city, NYC. If it wasn’t for dumb luck, he’d still be on a Citizens Band radio spewing his twisted humor. Don’t get me wrong, I like twisted humor, but his stopped being funny a long time ago. It’s time for him to let go and move to his ranch in new Mexico so he can shoot at cans and entertain the ill children that stay at his camp in the summer seasons. Now on to Anna, her claim to fame is she was a stripper who aso caught the brass ring and was photographed for Playboy magazine. She also met and married a old fool who was 4 times her age, and he died, (big surprise there, huh?) And inherited a ton of money, but his family nipped (sorry) her in the bud and sued to get her greasy paws off the will. She wound up with a fortune, but her stripper instincts took over and she was pole dancing in whoever would get in her bed. She then gave birth to a rugrat, but had no idea who the father was, with the amount of money involved, men were crawling out of the woodwork like roaches in a cheap hotel, claiming to be the one that knocked her up.
These two morons have been the topic of news for the past few weeks. I guess the wars are going ok, as I haven’t heard a word of them since Imus and Anna slithered into the limelight.
I suppose Hollyweird will get into the act and make movies about them, as thee doesn’t seem to be anymore writers left there, they’ve stooped to making movies from TV shows, and  that’s low; no matter how you look at it.
The casting of rthe movies will be interesting, I nominate Madonna as Anna, she already has the experience needed to portray her. As for imus, I guess they will have to dig up some old guy and run a couple of hundred of volts of electricity  through him, and get to yell: “It’s Alive    ”

 

Recently a person asked me what a Liberal was, in response to a statement I made that I don’t care what one calls me, so long as it’s not a liberal or late for dinner. I gave a half-assed answer, and thought that was it, but it got me to thinking. What exactly is a liberal?

Rep Jim Moran (D-Va) wants to close the detention center on Gitmo, aka

Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. I am all for this idea, but if only the following policy is adhered to, to the letter.

1. We build a massive maximum security prison in the hinterlands of Alaska.

This prison should be a minimum of 200 miles from any city, town or settlement.

2. Once completed, the terrorists living on Gitmo should be moved to ‘Camp Frozen’, Alaska, one at a time, with orders to their escorts to shoot to kill if an escape attempt is made.

3 Once the prisoner has arrived, he is then signed for by the Military warden and then placed in a holding cell. When the warden finishes her indoctrination of prison rules and regulations, and issue of bright pink jumpsuits and furry bunny type slippers, she will then assign the prisoner to his cell, which has walls 4 feet thick, built on 5 feet thick concrete floors, with a 5 foot thick ceiling, with a 10 inch wide by a 2 inch high window with no glass, remember, SAFETY FIRST!!.

4. When the prisoner is sentenced to his prison term, it it will be with no chance of parole. He serves every single day.

5. The prison routine should be as follows:

A. Wake up call at 0430 every day.

B. Shower and shave, clean shaven, no beards or mustaches allowed.

C. Breakfast will consist of pork and beans or pork and rice.(10 minutes)

D. Daily reading of The Holy Bible, until lunch.

E. Lunch,(15 minutes) consisting of pork and rice and beans.

F. Back to their cells for clean-up. They must wash their cells with cold water and raw lye soap, using brushes no larger than a toothbrush.(30 minutes allotted for this chore)

G. Leave cells and gather in the auditorium for the daily briefing and recreation activities.

Briefing should consist of the subjects of respecting the United States and women in general.

Recreational activities will consist of the choices of viewing Porky Pig cartoons, or listening to Brittany Spears sing ‘I’m Not So Innocent’ and ‘Opps I Did it Again’ This period will last from 1300 hours to 1800 hours.

H. 1800 hours, dinner of roast pork and rice, with water as the beverage, dessert will consist of one ‘Animal Cracker’ in the shape of a pig.

I. 1800 hours, Lights out, no talking allowed during the serving of the prisoner’s sentence.

J. All guards and security will be female, and their words are law in the prison. Temperature should be maintained at 40 degrees F.

K. All inspection of any type will be carried out by female guards, this includes the daily morning inspections of the shaves and haircuts.

Women barbers will be on stand-by for the purpose of forced shavings, any inmate that refuses to shave or shower will be cleaned via fire hose at full power.

L. This routine will be repeated every day of the sentence, no exceptions. Visitors will be allowed to immediate family at their own expense only after a one (1) year screening process. One visit will be allowed every six (6) months, providing the inmate follows the rules and regulations to the letter and has no demerit points against him.

M. At the end of a prisoner’s sentence, he will be released from captivity on the front porch of the prison, with a Federal/Military issued pass stating that he has completed his sentence and is directed to the nearest deportation center to be sent to his home country. Upon his release he will be issued a clean new set of bright orange jumpsuit, snowshoes made from straw and a map to the nearest deportation station, which he will report to as soon as he can, making good use of the snowshoes. Any variance from these post release rules and regulations will indicate the prisoner’s obvious failure to obey orders, and will be returned to the prison for a military hearing where if found guilty, will be sentenced to a minimum term of seven (7) years in the same prison.

The only alternative to these conditions of confinement is if Rep. Jim Moran (D-Va) is willing to house those detainees at his personal home at his personal expense. After all, he wouldn’t want the government to pick up part of the expenses for these noble and generous actions. He, as a Congressman must set an example for the rest of his fellow congress persons on the left side of the aisle.
